Todd Smith, is the founder and CEO of From The Hills and Deadwood Management. Mr. Smith has been involved with the cannabis industry since 2004 and started in Southern California. With his experience and expertise in cannabis operations, he is bringing a new level of professionalism to the Black Hills.
We at From The Hills pride ourselves in our ability to scale a business both vertically and horizontally. We also are deeply involved in the architecture and engineering of cultivation facilities, retail outlets, and manufacturing facilities.
Our company Deadwood Management, started managing grows in California in 2004. We managed several facilities and grew over countless strains of cannabis. We currently have a non volatile (mechanical separation) manufacturing facility, where we manufacture solventless concentrates such as cold cure rosin, rosin crumble, and even vape pens!
We also have a retail stores open in Lead and Deadwood!

From the Hills was established to bring cannabis to South Dakota in a safe and professional manner. Mr. Smith sits on the board of the CIASD.com (Cannabis Industry Association of South Dakota. There we have been instrumental in assisting the state with its ordinance’s and making sure South Dakota has the best cannabis business environment for both the state and all operators

At From the Hills, our veterans are a vital part of our family. We are proud to have veteran Luke Tillett, who has served in the armed forces to protect our country, serve as our Director of Operations. His skill and experience goes beyond his service for he has over five years' worth of cultivation and manufacturing management experience.
